When I lived in Alberta Canada, this was my favorite green. It kind of tastes like spinach, but produces much longer without bolting. I've moved to Georgia, and plan to plant it this fall as a winter crop.
Looking for ways to add greens into our diet, so I planted these last year. Beautiful, colorful centerpiece in the garden and they are quite tasty. I added them to soups mostly. Chopped it all back and it came back better than ever this year. Very vigorous!
Last year was a bad weather season for all my tomatoes. This spring has been better weather. I bought a sturdier larger Better Boy seedling and in LESS than 2 months it has outgrown Mortgage Lifter and already has lots of full-sized fruit waiting to turn pink when I like to pick them and ripen indoors on my counter.
These cucumbers are very prolific, plus the flavor is excellent. Germination was pretty much 100%. All the flowers are female so you get dozens of cukes per plant. I even let one over-ripen by accident and the plant is still producing.
Very sweet and tender. Just the way I like them. I planted this Ambrosia cantaloupe last year and am ordering more seeds for this year.
I had great germination and they are just coming in now. ( June 15 2021 St.Louis area weather wize). They are unbelievable good tasting with a very thin skin so no peeling is necessary unless you want it. Heavy producers, after only one week of setting in I'm in undated with cukes. Could not be happier with any variety!
