Move over daisies and petunias! These vibrantly colored zinnias stand up to tough conditions like hot temperatures and harsh drought. If you forget to water these zinnias, they’ll act like it never happened!
This zinnia mix is a hot blend of bright yellow, scorching deep orange and bright white blooms. The vibrantly colored blooms are perfect for cutting and bringing inside. These blooms emerge at the end of straight, uniform stalks that are at least 12″ long. The perfect size for snipping and popping in a vase!
The profusion zinnia is perfect for getting stunning blooms. The more blooms you cut off, the more blooms the plant produces. To use them in a vase, remove the leaves, they’ll die back quickly if you don’t and put them into a vase with water, making sure the stem is in the water.
Zinnias are some of the easiest annuals to grow. They can be started indoors or you can direct sow them in your garden. They’re extremely tolerant and vigorous plants. Space them out well because they’ll get quite big. Plant height is 14-18″ and should be spaced 20-24″ apart.
To keep your zinnias healthy, water them at the ground with a soaker hose. They don’t like getting water on their leaves and can develop powdery mildew if they get wet. Always water in the morning when possible so the leaves have time to dry off before nightfall.
